Alabamas USDA plant hardiness Zones 7b through 9b, with most of the state falls into Zones 8a and 8b.
September start Perennials, like Mums, Asters & Fall Sedum are reliable perennial color.
Fall/winter annuals, like pansies & Violas, go in October through mid November.
Cabbage & Kale is another choice for the Fall/winterl season
Snapdragons & Nemesia work great for containers and sunny beds.
