Plant Care Tips - Cabbage
- Plant in full sun to get brightest leaf colors. At least 5-6 hours of direct sun.
- Use rich, well-draining soil packed with organic compost.
- Bury the stems deep so the lowest leaves sit flush with the soil surface.
- Keep the soil consistently moist, but never soggy.
- Ensure good air circulation around the leaves to prevent fungal leaf spots.
- Expect the vibrant pink, purple, and white colors to emerge only after temperatures drop below 50 degrees F.
- Fertilize plants only once at planting time with a balanced formula. Extra fertilizer cause weak, leggy growth and dull colors.
